Types of water suitable for use in the Rowenta Pure Force 3-in-1:
• Untreated tap water:
Your appliance has been designed to use untreated tap water.
If your water is very hard, mix 50% untreated tap water and 50% distilled water.
• Types of water not to use:
Heat concentrates the elements contained in water during evaporation. The types of water listed below may contain organic waste, mineral or chemical elements that can cause spitting, brown staining, or premature wear of the appliance:
- water from clothes dryers
- scented or softened water
- water from refrigerators, batteries, air conditioners
- rainwater
- boiled, filtered, or bottled water
To ensure the best performance from your steamer, these types of water should not be used for ironing.
Before first use:
When you first use the appliance, some smoke or a harmless odour may be produced or there may be a small discharge of particles. This
will not affect the use of the appliance and will disappear quickly.
Step-by-step process to descale the Rowenta steamer:

Do this operation in the vented room

Remove the water tank and water inlet stopper.

Fill the water tank with 50% water and 50% white vinegar. Do not use other descaling products(vinegar, industrial descaling products, etc.) to descale your steam generator: they could damage it.

Return the water tank to its place on the steamer. Make sure the water tank is fully set in place. Plug in and then switch it ON.

Wait until the light stop flashing along the modes (approx. 15 to 25 seconds). When the light is steady the appliance is ready to use.

Run the appliance until the water tank has completely emptied. Only do this operation in vertical use.

Unplug the appliance and pull the water tank out.

Remove the water inlet stopper rinse the water tank, and fill the water tank with untreated tap water.

Return the water tank to its place on the steamer. Make sure the water tank is fully set in place. Check that the valve is closed and that the tank is installed correctly on the product.

Plug in the steamer and Switch it ON

How to clean the garment steamer?

Wait an hour for a complete cooldown.

Only use a soft sponge with water to clean. Do not use any detergent product.

Never wash or rinse the steamer directly over a sink.

The reversible pad* can be hand-washed with clear water and soap only. Let it dry before reusing it.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
There is no steam coming out:
Your product is not plugged in or is not switched on > Check that your product is properly connected to a power socket and that the switch is on "I".
The water level in the tank is too low > Unplug the appliance and fill the tank.
The pump is unprimed >Press and hold the steam button for a few seconds to prime the pump.
The removable tank is not installed correctly > Check the correct positioning of the tank on the product.
The product is in "Stand-by" mode ==> Press the "On-Off" button and wait until it stops flashing.
The Rowenta steamer is no longer heating:
Your product is not plugged in or is not switched on > Check that your product is properly connected to a power socket and that the switch is on "I".
The product is in "Stand-by" mode > Press the "On-Off" button and wait until it stops flashing.
Rowenta Pure Force 3 in1 steamer water leaks:
The water tank is not installed correctly or its locking valve is not closed properly ==> Check that the valve is closed and that the tank is installed correctly on the product.
Steam output is low:
Your steamer has limescale, consult the "Descaling" section in the instructions.
The Steamer produces steam constantly:
The "Steam" button is in the Continuous Steam position. Unlock it by pressing it once.
The steam stains clothing:
You have used descaling chemicals or additives in the water.
Never add such products to the water tank. These contain organic waste or minerals that condense under the influence of heat and cause spitting, brown dripping, or premature aging of your appliance.
The Steamer is spitting water.
